To The Slaughter II

Chinank Pasricha is a Vadodara-based visual artist working primarily in metal. He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Visual Arts in Creative Sculpture. Chinank has participated in several notable shows, including Incept in Baroda (Art Incept, Delhi),

Without Cube (Hidden Artist Initiative), Beyond the Horizon (Hi 10 Gallery) and Raw Collaborative (Space Studio). He was also part of the 2025 Summer Residency at Space Studios, Baroda.

His installation “To The Slaughter II” is made with copper sheets, drawing from the phrase “like sheep to slaughter.” The work takes visual cues from bird’s-eye views of crowded spaces and flocks, symbolizing collective conformity. It reflects on how people follow trends, ideologies and influencers without questioning, losing individuality in the process.

Through this piece, Chinank critiques the culture of imitation and passive submission that defines much of modern life. The work invites viewers to reflect on their own choices and reclaim the agency of independent thought in an age of mass persuasion.
