The musical form of ghazals is very closely related to the Hindustani classical tradition, commonly using the traditional structure and layout of Ragas. Despite these obvious similarities, there are no performances that feature both ghazals and classical Khayal Gayaki in one performance. As an attempt to show the differences and similarities between these two traditions, both styles will be presented on a single stage by the two singers.
