Aditya Dhabhai is an artist who completed his Bachelor’s of Visual Arts in Sculpture.

During his academic years, he undertook an Internship at Museum of Goa under Subodh Kherkar and attended a Woodcarving Workshop at MSU Fine Arts Faculty. His work has been recognized and showcased in several exhibitions, including "Upantaya" at MSU Fine Arts (2023) and "Fresh Produce 2.0" by Method & IAF parallel, Delhi (2025).

The artwork is titled Ceramic Portraits of Zoomorphic Figures. In this work, Dhabhai reflects the intricate dance between expectation and resilience, drawing parallels between the silent struggles of reptiles and the human condition. His work is inspired by the grotesque elements of manga and anime and the reptilian forms embody traits he admires: stoic, resilient and ever-watchful. Echoes of this parallel resonate through history, from the stone-carved lizards adorning ancient temples to the silent companionship they offer in solitary moments.

The personal connection is rooted in his time in Baroda, where the reptiles, particularly the lizards, became his silent companions, reflecting his own life experiences and emotions. He is captivated by the overlooked aspects of everyday life and finds a striking parallel between reptilian resilience and the human struggle to meet predefined societal roles. The takeaway for the audience is an invitation to find solace in the stoic resolve of these cold-blooded companions, which serve as a constant reminder to forge ahead, resilient and unyielding, in the eternal struggle to thrive.
