Debapriya Das has been a belly dancer in India for over a decade, having started dancing at the age of just 8, and also has knowledge of other dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Kathak and contemporary dancing. She has trained under the late Hossam Rezzi (Egyptian Dabunka percussionist and musician) and Rachel Khais (tribal Yuzan style belly dancer) and has performed in various countries. Today, she is passing on the art to the next generation at her belly-dancing school, 'Nrityakosh' in Bangalore.
