For Pooja Radhakrishnan, dance has always been about finding her own way. After eight years with Shiamak Davar’s company, she went on to study Dance and Arts Management at De Montfort University in the UK, shaping a practice that balances performance with vision. Now based in Mumbai, she co-founded The Movement Hub, a company and studio that nurtures new work while staying rooted in craft. Her career has taken her across international tours with singer Shalmali Kholgade and into projects for film, stage and festivals.

With ThaKiTa.Co, Pooja brings “Murmuration” to Abhivyakti. The work takes its cue from the flocking of birds and how that instinct mirrors human life, at times moving together and at times breaking away. Built as a group piece, it merges Bharatanatyam, contemporary floor work, hip hop, street style and Afro dance into an experimental performance.

For Pooja, creating Murmuration has been about standing firm in her artistic choices without letting perception get in the way. She wants audiences to be swept into the visuals, to feel the care behind every detail, and to witness the delicate balance between unity and individuality.
