Anavar Khan comes from a family where music is not just an art but an inheritance. For seven generations, his family has carried forward the tradition of singing devotional folk songs from Rajasthan. Taught by his father and grandfather since birth, Anavar’s voice carries the echoes of a heritage that has lived through centuries of oral tradition.

His presentation Kanudo, revives a rare and intimate form of Krishna and Radha bhajan that was once performed only for royal courts. The song tells the story of Krishna’s interactions with Radha. Passed down through generations, this music has never been recorded or shared online until now.

With his ensemble - The Folk Voice of Rajasthan, Anavar brings this hidden art to the stage, giving audiences a glimpse into the living soul of rural Rajasthan. His performance is not only a tribute to his ancestors but also an effort to preserve and celebrate the state’s deep-rooted musical culture, its people, its poetry and its timeless music that speaks directly to the heart.
