Industrialisation
Neel Gajjar is a sculptor based in Vadodara who has developed a distinctive artistic language that balances material exploration with philosophical reflection. Neel continues to refine his practice through experimentation and observation. His understanding of fine arts has strengthened his ability to translate abstract ideas into sculptural form, earning him recognition for his thoughtful approach and refined craftsmanship.
The compelling sculpture “Industrialisation” is constructed from a deliberate pairing of Wood and Industrial iron. At the composition’s dramatic center stands a piece of burnt, scarred wood, an unmistakable symbol of nature damaged and consumed by human ambition. From this wounded core, pipes, mechanical components and discarded machine parts aggressively spread outwards, visually merging the organic with the mechanical.
The sculpture serves as a tangible warning, making painfully visible the profound and often ignored cost of our relentless industrial ambition and its long-term, destructive impact on the environment.
