An established architect & designer, Kabir Thakore has been equally revered as a theatre artist for more than 3 decades now. Being a self-taught practitioner, he has mostly worked with students by creating avenues and spaces like Rangmandal (2011) & Scrapyard (2015) that celebrate theatre. Some of his best works include 'Kaala Yaani Andhera' (a satire on the 2007 violence at MSU), 'Tale of Tears' (stories of rape victims during riots), 'Midsummer Night's Dream'; and Mowgli Balloo Tanak Tum Tum' for kids.
