Ahmedabad-based Deepal Sisodia, a Gujarati-Rajasthanian by origin, has a Masters in Visual Arts from M.S. University, Vadodara, with a focus on sculpture. Terracotta, stoneware and metal are his preferred mediums, which enable him to depict the everyday lives of ordinary people; he also draws inspiration for his art from the gestures, behaviour and emotions of everyday life.
