Huseini Dawawala is a Mumbai-based writer, director and producer who has been part of the theatre world since 1998. Over his 25-year journey, he has directed and written more than 20 full-length and one-act plays, earning multiple awards for his contributions to Gujarati and Hindi theatre. As the founder of Theatrix Entertainment, he has created a vibrant space for experimental and family-friendly productions. His notable works include Back to School, Three Musketeers, Traffic, Ramleela and Teen Bandar, which have been staged at NCPA, Kala Ghoda and Khidkiyan festivals. Known for his ability to blend humour with meaning, Dawawala continues to champion theatre as both entertainment and education.

His production, Angoor Khatte Hai !!!, co-written with Nitish Chandra Choubey, is a bilingual Hindi-English children’s play that combines science fiction and folklore in a lively 50-minute adventure. The story follows MAD (Mukesh Amrutlal Desai), a time-travelling scientist who stumbles into the worlds of Gujarati, European, Arabian and Akbar-Birbal tales. Each encounter becomes a lesson in imagination, wisdom and joy. Through this playful journey, Dawawala hopes to rekindle curiosity in young minds and remind audiences of the timeless wonder of storytelling.
