From 2018 to 2020, he worked as Creative Manager at Hoshruba Repertory, curating performances and mentoring young talent. A dedicated drama teacher, he has also trained high school and college students in acting, script analysis and stagecraft. Since 2020, Sikandar has been passionately performing Dastangoi, the ancient Urdu storytelling tradition, bringing to life folk tales of Rajasthan as well as contemporary narratives on national and international stages.
He presents “Angareywali Ki Dastaan”. Rooted in Dastangoi, the performance revisits stories that shook society when they were first written and continue to hold a mirror to our world today. By blending historical narratives with the present moment, Sikandar invites the audience to reflect on how little has changed, urging us to question why society still grapples with the same struggles and silences.
