Anga Raaga
Noida-based Odissi dancer Junahi Rattann has been devoted to her art since the age of 18. She trained under Guru Manoranjan Nayak and was later guided by Guru Smt.
Raseswari Nayak, touring across India with her gurus and fellow dancers. Alongside Odissi, she has explored the basics of Kathak, Ghoomar and Kalbalia, which have added depth to her sense of rhythm and movement.
For Abhivyakti, Junahi presents “Anga Raaga”, a solo Odissi dance-drama that mirrors the cycles of nature with the cycles of the human spirit. Inspired by the verses of Lal Ded and Kabir, the piece unfolds through the changing seasons, where passion softens into surrender, chaos turns into stillness and longing transforms into fulfilment. Each shift becomes a metaphor for the inner journey of transformation.
Anga Raaga represents a personal milestone for Junahi, the fulfilment of a long-held dream. Through angika abhinaya, the language of the body, she seeks to make every movement an act of devotion and storytelling. She hopes the performance will leave audiences both visually stirred and gently reflective of the seasons within themselves.
