Ananta - unlimited woman
Amrita Lahiri started dancing at the age of 7 when she was studying under Anuradha Nehru in Washington DC. She shifted to New Delhi at the age of 15. She made her debut as a solo performer at the Indian International Centre in New Delhi in 1996 and was awarded the title of 'First Class Professional Material' for it. She continued to perform Kuchipudi and also started training in Bharatanatyam from Leela Samson. She is constantly working to bring innovation to the history and roots of this dance form. In addition, she strives to expand this dance form in a unique way through her performances, writings, workshops and choreography.
