Tarini Tripathi is a third generation Kathak dancer, trained by her maternal guru Padma Sharma and mother Gauri Sharma Tripathi. Coming from a strong Kathak background, Tarini Dal allows her to explore different forms of Kathak without losing its original essence. She was recently honoured with the prestigious Dance Master Award from Nalanda Dance Research Centre and the Best Dancer Award at PECDA 2022. Shalmali Jhankar is an artist, choreographer and teacher who has been trained in Kathak for the past 20 years under Guru Manisha Jeet. She has also won awards like CCRT Scholarship and Kala Nipunya. Shalmali is exploring dance through choreography, space drawing and pedagogy that aligns with modern ideas and cultural values.
