As a little girl, Rupashi frequented the Kadam School of Dance often with her mother. But no sooner did she start her training under her mentor, Padma Shri. Kumudini Lakhiya, the school became her second home. She graduated as Kathak Dancer from Kadam and started performing as a dancer in 2007.
