Their showcase, Lokkala Darshan, is a vibrant confluence of folk forms, languages and philosophies. With performances in Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati and a touch of English, it celebrates the cultural kinship between Maharashtra and Gujarat through folk expressions like Pothraj, Vasudev, Gondhal, Jagaran and Lavani.
The performance blends music, theatre, and dance, brought alive with authentic instruments such as the tuntuna, halgi, manjira, dholki, and sambhal. Each element draws from the deep well of adhyatm (spirituality), sanskruti (culture), and parampara (tradition), celebrating faith without slipping into blind belief.
Through the ideas of Sant (saints), Pant (scholars) and Tant (literature), the piece reflects on how true spirituality is not about religion or ritual, but about inner connection and cultural wisdom.
Under the direction of Suraj Kharatmal, Lokkala Darshan is a rich, rhythmic and reflective journey, one that reminds us that folk art is philosophy in motion.
