The artwork is titled “Change/પરિવર્તન”. The piece addresses human change, specifically the external change seen moment by moment. Parmar uses different mediums depending on the demand of his work and is currently working on two printmaking techniques: etching and woodcut, in which he adds collage too. In his works, Tree is the main subject, and he portrays elements addressing social issues like “the constantly changing day-to-day life,” “excessive use of technology” and “effect of urbanization on nature.”

The personal connection is his high sensitivity to the way nature reacts, feeling that we are the main culprits for environmental changes and that he can best portray the pros and cons of ignoring nature through his art. The takeaway for the audience is his way of urging people around to be more responsible towards what we have, as our own existence largely depends on nature.
