Her textile-based installation is titled “In Her Own Time”. It is created using natural dyes in the ritual textile tradition of Mata ni Pachedi and depicts a woman asleep, her face obscured to symbolize 'every woman.' The installation bravely reclaims rest as a sacred and political act for women, a necessary rebellion against a culture of perpetual productivity and chronic performance of duty.
The piece emerges from the artist's personal reflections as a mother and professional navigating the relentless demands of multiple roles. The work invites viewers, especially women, to pause, take a breath and actively recognize that rest is not a luxury or a failure, but an essential, radical act of resistance and renewal against the constant chaos of everyday life.
