Ivan Khan is from Ujjain and is currently associated with NSD (National School of Drama), where he is contributing as a playwright and director. He completed his graduation in theatre from MS University, Vadodara, where he also received 2 gold medals for acting and direction. Along with this, he has also completed his master's degree with specialization in direction from B.R. Ambedkar University. He is also very active in the 'Ankur Rangmanch Samiti', founded by his father, which has been active for the last 42 years, to teach Raukshanik folk theatre, children's theatre and experimental theatre throughout the country.
