Rucha Anjaria grew up surrounded by music and dance in Bharuch, where her parents worked as teachers. Inspired by her grandfather, a classical music expert, Rucha participated in the International Youth Festival "Rangpuhar" in Italy during school and represented India on the international stage. After completing her post-graduation in classical music in 2007, Rucha became the head of the vocal department at JG College of Performing Arts in 2008. She has participated in numerous youth festivals and competitions as a performer and judge, sharing her expertise with students across India. In this edition of Abhivyakti City Arts Project, Rucha brings the concept of Anubhuti, a Sanskrit term for 'experience,' that arises from internal realization. Music, a medium for expressing feelings, embodies this concept. Sangadeva defines music as a composite of Gayan (singing), Vadan (playing), and Nrityam (dancing). This Anubhuti is connected to the Panchbhut (five elements) that form the universe - the physical and spiritual realms. The human body and music are composed of these elements, expressed through ragas, instruments, and movements, presented through the Anubhava.
