Rajoo Barot is a veteran thespian with over 50 years of experience. He has a Natya Diploma from the Faculty of Performing Arts, M.S. University, Vadodara, and a graduation degree from the National School of Drama, New Delhi, with intensive training at FTII, Pune. He has worked as an actor, director, singer, documentarian, and lighting designer. He has performed in numerous plays, including 'Hoholika,' 'Ichcha Mari Poore Karo,' 'Shakuntala,' 'Dutvakyam,' and 'Guillotine No Goto.' and received several awards, including the State 'Gaurav Puraskar' in Drama and the 'Best Playback Singer' award for the film 'Dikri Mari Vhalno Dario.' In this edition of Abhivyakti City Arts Project, Rajoo Barot's performance ‘Rangbhoomi Na Sadabahar Geeto’ features a fusion of traditional and contemporary music. The performance includes a variety of songs, accompanied by both traditional and Western instruments. Rajoo Barot introduces and preserves this rich theatrical heritage for future generations. It gives a unique and engaging experience for the audience, combining entertainment with education.
