Keatan Jadhav is a multifaceted artist with expertise in acting, direction, dramaturgy and theatre entrepreneurship. A postgraduate in Theatre from Pune University, Keatan has spent over 15 years refining his craft in Goa’s vibrant artistic community. As the founder of The Flamingo Theatre Goa, he focuses on body language, emotions, spatial awareness, voice modulation and sensitivity to the performance space. He has also curated children's theatre projects and festivals in Goa and serves as visiting faculty at Pune University and Flame University. In this edition of Abhivyakti City Arts Project, Keatan presents ‘IELO’, a musical satire in mask, physical, and gestural theatre, incorporating object theatre and Goan folk music. The play tells the story of the King of the Happus dynasty, who gifts the village an elephant as a symbol of prosperity.
