Ivan Khan belongs to Ujjain and is currently affiliated with NSD (National School Of Drama) where he contributes as a playwright, director & more. He completed his graduation in theatre from MS University, Vadodara along with achieving 2 gold medals in acting & theatre direction. He has a Master’s degree in Direction Specialisation from BR Ambedkar University. His company, Ankur Rangmanch Samiti, which was founded by his father, has been active in educational folk theatre, children’s theatre & experimental theatre across the nation for 42 years. In this edition of Abhivyakti City Arts Project, Ivan brings a play under the name of ‘The Carnival of Death’ which narrates the idea of existentialism and the crisis around it in a satirical way. It talks about the absurdity that people have faced after COVID-19, how wars, deforestation, and global warming are multiplying in number day by day.
