Bhagwat Prajapati is an art explorer with over 16 years of experience in dance. His journey began with Guru Smt. Kashmira Trivedi, where he learned Indian classical and folk dances. He has also studied contemporary dance, Kalaripayattu, and Western styles. In theatre, he started with Mallika Sarabhai and Yadavan Chandran, participating in productions such as ‘The Conference of the Birds’ and ‘Macbeth’. During Abhivyakti Edition 4 & 5, he touched audiences being a part of dance productions like ‘The Voice Within’ and ‘You Are Here’. In this edition of Abhivyakti City Arts Project, Bhagwat presents ‘द्वै’ (A Journey of इित - नेित). This concept explores duality through the ‘eti-neti’ philosophy, examining contrasts like emotion, colour, life and death, and reflection. By negating these elements, it reveals that all dualities emerge from ‘Shunya’ (emptiness), showing that duality itself is a creation of this fundamental void, inviting a profound reconsideration of reality.
