Suvani Suri

Suvani is a Delhi based artist who has been a component of several trans-disciplinary practices, alternating between the roles of an artist, assembler, designer, researcher, sound-producer and educator. She is preoccupied with diverse peculiarities of the technological and sociopolitical processes that listening is embedded in, and the spectral qualities of sound that reveal certain slippages and gaps.

The idea of revolutionary sounds is what Suvani is looking to explore. Revolution refers to something which causes a significant change in social order. Revolutions could be social, economic or technological. Accompanied by her friend Shiraz Iqbal, Suvani wants to explore this idea and present it as a mixed media installation using images, objects and sound.
