Jagrut Raval

Jagrut Raval

Jagrut Raval is an artist, designer and educator. His interdisciplinary art practise spans diverse mediums in various scales presented in the form of installations, photographic printing techniques, videos, drawings, and appropriation of mass-produced and found items. His works are inquiries about the notion of Time as experience and its relationship to the human condition.

Inspired by an idea that anything put on a pedestal seems worthy of attention, Jagrut brings us ‘The Plinth’. As the name suggests, he will be installing a plinth, tucked away in a corner at the Knowledge consortium which shall slowly evolve into an anti-monument. With the absence of a sculpture, Jagrut intends to motivate the viewers to become the sculptures for the amount of time they spend on the Plinth.
