Arif Mir

Aarif Mir is well known for performing Gujarati folk songs,
bollywood songs, bhakti songs, Gujarati sugam songs and sufi
music. He has received magical music art in heredity from two
generations. His grandfather was popular and versatile stage
artist who was famous in 1950-60 in cities of mumbai vadodara
and ahmedabad. Aarif mir’s father shri rahim bhai was disciple
of padm vibhushan sir ustaad gulaam mustafa. Aarif sir met
legendary singer padmashri purushottam upadhyay, who showed personal and detailed interest in aarif. He trained aarif
in gujarati sugam/(lightvocal) music.
World famous indian classical legend padma vibhushan
ustaad gulaam mustafa khan sir also gave his blessings to
him(Aarif Mir) and he handed over to his son, ustaad murtaza
mustafa khan who is equally capable in classical music.
